The inception of Bindaas Foundation traces back to 2014, when a senior theatre artist from Udaipur, Late Mr. Mahesh Nayak (NSD alumunus), envisioned a community initiative named ‘Bindaas.’ He met Govind Kharol, who brought his filmmaking talent to the table. Thus, Bindaas Community Media was established in 2015. The title “Bindaas” and its ideology were inspired by the belief that individuals should pursue their passions without fear or hesitation, regardless of their limitations. This idea resonated deeply with Govind, who was determined to embody it through his actions. Following the untimely passing of Mr. Nayak in 2017, Govind took it upon himself to keep the dream alive. His journey toward this goal began slowly; he started cycling more frequently, gradually moving out of the confines of his home, which gave birth to a series of impactful events in 2017.
